  1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Zania Inc. ("Zania", "we", "us" and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on zania.ai and website pages that link to this policy. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

This policy applies to zania.ai and other public website pages that link to it. It does not describe technologies used within the Zania customer application unless that application links to this policy.

  1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Session cookies generally expire when your browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set under the website domain you visit; third-party cookies are set under another domain.

Pixels, tags and local storage can also record activity or store information. Depending on the tool, this information may include page URLs, referral sources, timestamps, browser and device information, IP addresses, identifiers and actions such as submitting a form. Some analytics services operate without cookies.

  1. How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep the website secure and working properly, and remember the privacy choices you make.

• Understand how visitors find and use the website, so we can improve the content and experience.

• Measure whether our advertising is working.

• Where you allow it, identify the business a visitor is from so our sales team can follow up.

What types of cookies we use

Necessary cookies. These are required for the website to function and to store your cookie choices. They do not track you for marketing purposes and cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies. These count visits and tell us which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, and how they move through the website. We use this to see what is working and what isn't.

Marketing and visitor identification cookies. These measure the results of our advertising and, where enabled, link a website visit to a business profile for sales and marketing follow-up.

We ask for your permission before setting analytics or marketing cookies and similar technologies. Simply continuing to browse does not count as permission. If you reject these categories, only necessary cookies remain active.

  1. Technologies used on our website

The providers below support our website analytics, measurement and business enquiries. The technologies used depend on the page, enabled features and your privacy choices. A cookieless service does not necessarily mean that no information is processed.

We use Google Tag Manager to load the tools listed above. It is a management tool that controls when each provider’s code runs on the website and does not collect information itself. A tool only loads if you have allowed the category it belongs to.

Your Privacy Choices identifies the optional categories you can control. Necessary consent-preference storage remembers your selections. Each provider's own documentation describes the specific cookies it sets, their purposes and their lifetimes.

Adding or changing technologies. We may add, replace or remove the tools listed above over time. Any new tool is assigned to a category in Your Privacy Choices and will not load until you have allowed that category.

  1. Your choices

You can choose Accept All, Reject All or manage individual optional categories in the cookie banner. You can reopen Your Privacy Choices in the website footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent you from browsing our public website or submitting an enquiry.

Changing your choice applies to future optional tracking. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal and does not automatically delete information already received by us or a provider. Contact us to request access or deletion where applicable.

Your preferences generally apply to the browser and device where you set them. If you clear browser storage, use a different browser or device, or browse privately, you may need to make your choices again. You can also use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies can affect necessary website functions, and deleting cookies does not erase information already stored on a provider’s servers.

  1. Sale or sharing opt-outs and browser signals

Depending on applicable law and the way a provider processes information, some advertising or identification disclosures may be considered a sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Where you have the right to opt out, use Your Privacy Choices in the website footer. Our Privacy Policy provides more information about relevant disclosures and your rights.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a setting in some browsers and browser extensions that automatically tells websites you want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. California, Colorado, Connecticut and several other US states require websites to treat it as a valid opt-out request.

We honor applicable Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests for sale, sharing and targeted advertising. An active GPC signal disables optional marketing and visitor-identification tags for the browser and device sending the signal. You can use Your Privacy Choices to control optional tracking.

  1. Cookie lifetimes and information retention

Cookie lifetimes vary by provider and configuration. Some cookies expire at the end of a session; others remain for a specified period and may have their expiry renewed when you return or interact with the website. Browser restrictions and your settings may shorten those lifetimes.

The lifetime of a cookie is different from how long information collected through it is retained. Our Privacy Policy describes our information-retention practices. Each provider's documentation describes the lifetimes of the cookies it sets.

  1. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our technologies, practices or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date and request a new choice where required.

For questions about cookies or your privacy choices, contact privacy@zania.ai. For more information about your personal information and privacy rights, see our Privacy Policy.
